Pull out those pearls and get ready for the second annual UNICEF Audrey Hepburn Society Ball, at the Wortham Center, 6 p.m. Oct. 14. Marc Vandermeer, the voice of the Houston Texans, will emcee, and Janice and Robert McNair will receive the inaugural Margaret Alkek Williams Humanitarian Award, which commemorates Margaret Alkek Williams’ legacy as a humanitarian and is presented to inspire future humanitarians to help vulnerable children. The award will be presented by Margaret Alkek Williams. Pictured (from left) are Louise Ng, who’s on the regional advisory council, Susan Boggio, who’s on the regional board of directors, Dikembe Mutombo, who’s a member of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s National Board of Directors, Ann Holmes, chair, Mariana Servitje, who’s on the regional advisory council, and Laura Torgerson, who served on the advisory council in the past and is a volunteer for UNICEF.
