Discovering new world on stage

The Bellaire High School Theatre Department will present Mariner by Don Nigro Nov. 19, 20 and 21, 7:30 p.m., at the school. This wild epic celebrates the mad obsession and ambiguous triumph of Christopher Columbus. The charming Italian mariner and lover moves through the nightmare of his life and loves and struggles against authority and stupidity, confronting the wondrous and terrible fruits of his obsession.
