Bellaire Beating Hearts (BBH), a club that spreads awareness for pediatric chronic illnesses and disorders through drives and fundraisers, and cheers up patients with one-on-one activities, has recently concluded their first annual Texas Children’s Hospital Donation Drive. This school-wide donation drive resulted in 84 items ranging from toothbrushes to baby rattles to board games to DVDs that will be distributed to the patients at the hospital.
Co-president Beth Suttin says, “Helping children has always been a passion of mine. To be able to supply patients at Texas Children’s Hospital with toys and other items that could bring a smile to their faces is the greatest gift of all.” BBH’s next event will be Project Santa on Dec. 6 at Bellaire High School’s annual gathering for families to come and enjoy their time with their kids at various booths set up by school clubs. BBH will be providing a bean bag tossing game as well as handing out toys for a family that had given the club a wish list.
As BBH wraps up this semester with the season of giving, they would like to wish everyone happy holidays.
