Stratford's Fifth Quarter

A cow from Chick-fil-A offers a dance to junior Hannah Lee while promoting the restaurant. Chick-fil-A sold dinner is at the Fifth Quarter, and also promoted the upcoming Chick-fil-A across from Stratford on Dairy Ashford.

Many students line up to buy snow cones, T-shirts, and other Kona Ice products. Kona Ice is a strong supporter of Stratford in many ways. School lunch on Wednesdays is accompanied by the option to purchase Kona Ice, with proceeds benefiting the Stratford Band.

El Ultimo Taco provides dinner for the students who were too busy before the football game to eat. The tacos left a tasteful mark on Stratford, and the event will likely bring the taco truck more business in the future.

The game may have already ended, but the fun was just beginning. On Nov. 7, the Stratford High School Student Council, sponsored by teachers Mary Jackson and Lauren Yonkin, and lead by Student Body President Abigail Jackson, added a Fifth Quarter to the game. No, it is not another quarter of football, but a quarter of fun and games with friends.

The celebration of playoffs began with this event championing school spirit. The night aimed to keep the students out of trouble, while still giving them the chance to hang out with their friends.

After the game at Tully Stadium, everyone raced over to the Stratford south parking lot. Despite the cold weather, the turnout was great! Students enjoyed Chick-fil-A, Kona Ice, el Ultimo Taco Truck, popcorn, and a bake sale. Juniors Christ Hachtman and Evan Goodearle supplied the music for night as friends got to celebrate a successful season.
