West University resident Nick Pielech (pictured) plays for the University of Chicago football team, which won the University Athletic Association (UAA) league title over Case Western Reserve University with a score of 20-10. Pielech started as middle linebacker for the team this fall. UChicago ended the regular season at 8-1 while the Spartans wrapped up at 3-7. The team’s previous UAA titles came in 1998, 2000, 2005 and 2010.
