Mr. Bellaire Pageant Contest
To kick off the New Year, Bellaire High School will host its fourth annual Mr. Bellaire pageant contest. The event will take place Jan. 28 in the Bellaire auditorium. Twenty-five senior male contestants will compete for the title, accompanied by 25 senior female escorts. The contest includes a costume, beachwear, talent and formal attire section, as well as performances by Bellaire’s eMotion Dance Company and the Belles Dance Team. Radio host Sam Malone will be our emcee for the evening, and two men and two woman from the Bellaire community will be judging, including Leslie Lerner, a Bellaire alumni and Jane Dembski, the retiring director of Parks and Recreation.
All proceedings from the show will benefit Bellaire’s after prom. Al’s Formal Wear is generously donating all of the tuxes for the evening, and many businesses and individuals are sponsoring contestants and escorts (listed below).
Contestants posed for “Best Eyes” and “Best Smile” to be voted on and announced at the event. The “Best Eyes” winner will receive a pair of Ray Bans from Sonik Vision, and the “Best Smile” winner will receive a teeth whitening from Sherry Van Wart-Noblett, DDS.
