No place for hate
Recently, students from West University Elementary welcomed author Kathryn Otoshi, who spoke about preventing bullying in school. She was sponsored by the West U PTO and the No Place for Hate Student Coalition, which promotes tolerance, kindness and acceptance and offers methods to end bullying. Students promise to be kind and fair to others even if they are different from them and to ask an adult for help when bullying doesn’t stop. Otoshi is the founder of KO Kids Books. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area.
