The gift of music
Shu-Hong Lin, Sarah Wu, Hillary Eichelberger and Ken Fujiwara (pictured, from left) of Houston’s Orchestra On Call recently performed at the Belmont Village Senior Care Center West University. Orchestra On Call is a group of volunteer musicians who bring the healing power of music into medical settings in the form of chamber ensembles, string orchestra and wind choir. The group, led by its artistic director Carlos Guillermo Jung, has performed for patients, families and staff at numerous hospitals, nursing homes and senior-care facilities in Houston. Upcoming performances this spring include outdoor concerts in the gardens of the Menninger Clinic, Houston Hospice, Shriners Hospital for Children and Belmont Village on West University.
