Progressive food
Some neighbors in Upper Kirby began their December-feast holi-daze at 6:30 p.m. with the first stop at Nano Cox’s. She kicked off the evening with drinks and several appetizers, including stuffed mushrooms and cranberry brie salsa. Onward a short walk to Marilyn and Steve Saks’, where Steve had whipped up appetizers with duck and venison from a recent hunting trip. The duck was served on jalapeños, wrapped with cream cheese and bacon. Joe and Marcia Alexander served the entrée, which included sliced beef tenderloin and a mashed potato bar. Robert Shelton brought yummy desserts that included homemade Italian cream cake and chocolate soup. Slurp.
