Judy and Dick Perkins celebrated the birth of their first granddaughter, Claire Perkins, on Jan. 6. Keith and Joanna Perkins, both engineers, are the thrilled parents. This is not a complex problem for them to solve. Joanna, who has a masters in biomedical engineering from Purdue, also plays the piano. Claire smiles when Mommy plays Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy and My Favorite Things by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Keith, who holds a degree in computer science from Texas A&M, is teaching her the Aggie Gig’em song.
