Clara Driscoll and Danny Clark knew early on that they were meant to be an item. Three years ago, mutual friends introduced them, and the next week they went on an official date. They each reflected later that that evening they knew, “This is the one.” Clara is a labor and delivery nurse at UTMB in Galveston. One morning after a night shift she opened the door to find Danny had driven in from Houston and was on bended knee. In his hand was a brilliant diamond that had been passed down in the Clark family for three generations. After he heard a joyful “Yes,” he served a gourmet breakfast. They are getting married in Galveston since Clara is a sixth-generation Galveston family and Danny has Galveston ancestors as well. The couple’s parents, Vickie and John Driscoll and Madeline and Timothy Clark, are excited for the family union.
