Friends of the Bellaire Library (FOTBL) board

The Bellaire City Library hosted an event for the newly elected Friends of the Bellaire Library (FOTBL) board. The reception officially opened the new expanded section for their ongoing used book sale. The FOTBL was founded in 1951 by the Bellaire Women’s Civic Club and has raised millions over the years for summer reading programs and items needed for the library. On hand to celebrate with a good book, were the FOTBL newly elected board members, (pictured, front row, from left) Susan Speert, Jo Monday, Ali Septimus, Charie Proctor, Pegi Newhouse, (back row, from left) Bellaire Library director Mary Cohrs, Sally Reed, Cam Leonard, Kay Burns, Guri Sloat and R.W. McKinney.
