Joan Bynum, a docent at Rienzi for 15 years and a MFAH guild member, was honored to have the director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Gary Tinterow, present her with an engraved crystal prism, the Henry K. Roos award. Stephanie Neimeyer, director of education at Rienzi, beamed at the turnout of 100 volunteers at the Kilroy Center at Bayou Bend to see Joan honored. You can often find Joan reading to the children at story time at Rienzi in the summer.
