Outgoing Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary president Lucy Lewis was surprised at the annual President’s Luncheon with an I Love Lucy skit. The skit cleverly depicted the “Standing Room Only” issue the Women’s Auxiliary faces at the annual Reflections on Style fashion show. The cast of Hollywood hopefuls included Helen Perry as Lucy, Rafael Sarango as Ricky, Deborah Dunkum as Ethel, Tom Parris as Fred, and Rhonda Jones as Carolyn Appleby, and the “Big Important Talent Scout” was Salvation Army Sgt. Rodney Hinckel. Scriptwriter Mary Maxey is also known as “Cecil B. DeMaxey.”
