This summer, seven kids traveled from Bellaire to Galveston to “Hang 10,” to participate in the Ohana Surf Camp in Galveston. Each of them were able to stay up on their boards on their first or second try.

All of these students go to The Shlenker School and grades range from first to fifth.

While in Galveston, the families stayed at The Galvestonian. Moms – Nephele Zimmerman, Dana Katz and Melissa Levin - looked on from the shore, proud of their surfer dudes, while pooling their connections to help work on flood relief efforts back home.
