Undefeated champs
Horn students remain undefeated in UIL, winning all of the UIL meets they have competed in for the last three years (for a total of 12). Most recently, students from Horn participated in the fourth and final UIL competition for this year, taking home the Sweepstakes award, an overall academic championship that is awarded to a school. It is based on a point system that combines results from individual and team awards. Horn team awards included Fourth Grade Number Sense, Social Studies, Dictionary Skills, Art, Fifth Grade Music Memory, Maps, Charts and Graphs, and Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Spelling. The school sent out a special shout out to teacher sponsor Trudy Jackson and parent coordinator Jennifer Draper.
