The Pin Oak Middle School cheerleaders received four “superior” blue ribbons for chant and camp cheer at Sam Houston State University. About 15 squads competed, and Pin Oak was coached by Cindy Cook. The team was awarded a certificate for superior skills in stunts, along with a trophy for top team on game-day cheer. Some of the squad members are Lauren Aungier, Alyssa Hatfield, Sydnee Smith, Grace Evans, Elizabeth McLaughlin, Lilly Smith, Anna Bernal, Grace Beasley, Margot Purdie, McHaley Ho, Madi Rivera, Lindsay Elwood, Brooke Selldin, Alexis White, Ravyn Louis and Winnie Gordon.
