West University Little League player Clayton DuMay (pictured), 11, traveled to Cooperstown, New York, with his mom to cheer on Craig Biggio as the beloved player became the first Houston Astro to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The weekend’s activities included a parade on Cooperstown’s Main Street, the induction ceremony and an insightful roundtable with Biggio and his fellow inductees, John Smoltz (Atlanta Braves), Randy Johnson (Arizona Diamondbacks) and Pedro Martinez (Boston Red Sox). The trip was well-organized by WULL’s 2015 auction chairs, including Jodi Altsuler, Aly Berlin, Jennifer Grewal and Courtney Tardy. WULL Auxiliary volunteer, coach and mom Mary Frances DuMay said, “As native Houstonians and loyal Astros fans, Clayton and I will always remember celebrating this historic moment with Craig Biggio in Cooperstown.”
