Dead on!

Barbara and Marks Hinton traveled to Scotland, the Orkney Islands in particular, to visit beautiful cemeteries. The islands are home to several Neolithic sites dating back some 5,000 years and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Barbara and Marks were particularly interested in the St. Magnus Cathedral and burial grounds established in 1137. It is suspected that the oldest tombstone in the cemetery, with a morning star on it, is a knight templar. Included in the exciting trip were a visit to a castle in Edinburgh, the Highlands, St. Andrews Golf Links, the battleground of Culloden and a visit to Loch Ness and a sheep farm. And from a Houston Scot, Callum Grey, they were told to track down the infamous story of Cadavers for Sale. You can read about it on Barbara’s blog: historichouston1836.com/cadavers-for-sale-the-eerie-tale-of-misters-burke-and-hare.
