Celebrating the Alley
Surrounded by art in the home of Mike Loya, supporters of the Alley Theatre – including Josie de Guzman, Bob and Gracie Cavnar, and Herb Scannal (pictured, from left) – mingled with more than 60 of the Alley’s donors at a buffet dinner with artistic director Gregory Boyd and managing director Dean Gladden. Also in attendance were members of the Resident Acting Company, who recently had closed One Man, Two Guvnors and The Other Place. The night kicked off with cocktails as guests wandered around the high-rise home, where the art collection includes sculptures by Jesús Moroles and Tony Cragg and artwork by Jean Dubuffet. Guests sampled food stations featuring Peking duck crepes, smoked salmon, Mexican shrimp cocktail and beef tenderloin.
