Friends and family gathered to watch as Darsey Swaim said, “I do,” to Jonathan Sharp on Nov. 28 at The Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. The night before, a rehearsal dinner was hosted at Lamberts Downtown Barbeque for some Texas flair. Pictured (from left) are wedding-party members Brooke Fendley, maid of honor Jenny Wawrose, the bride, Chanel Dror, Lucy Moffitt and Suzanna Astrich. Guests enjoyed a seated dinner of a duo of braised beef short ribs and citrus-brushed sea bass. The wedding cake, themed “Bits of Texas,” was a Shiner Bock Pecan Cake with whiskey ganache, candied bacon and salted caramel cream. The groom’s cake was his favorite flavor, carrot cake, with a Lego theme as a nod to the groom’s architecture profession. The bride said one of her top priorities was that everyone danced, and they did, to the band The Pictures from Austin. To send guests off, a late-night snack of grilled cheese and tomato soup was served. The couple plans to honeymoon this month in Maui and Kauai.
