It was a full house for the 8th annual All In for Adoption Texas Hold ’Em Tournament, benefitting Spaulding for Children. Hands down it was a record year with more than $195,000 raised for the cause. Vikki Finley, Spaulding for Children’s president and CEO, with co-chairs David Baggett, Steve Kennedy, Keith Maxwell and Brian Romere, clapped to the beat as Texans cheerleaders greeted the 120 guests at the River Oaks Country Club. KHOU Channel 11 meteorologist Chita Johnson, as master of ceremonies, announced the first-, second- and third-place tournament winners: Lane Dodds, Jeff Sinda and Allen May. For 38 years, Spaulding for Children has provided foster care, adoption and post adoption services, at no cost, to children in protective custody of the state and their adoptive families.
