Spring Branch Education Foundation members, including Lisa Schwartz, chair, SBEF Board; Chris Vierra, president, SBISD Board of Trustees; Dr. Scott R. Muri, superintendent, SBISD; Cece Thompson, executive director, SBEF; and J. Carter Breed, SBEF board member, welcomed some good news. SBEF was ranked No. 1 in the nation among education foundations revenues by Stepping Up: The Top K-12 Education Foundations in the Nation, which is an annual study that ranks K-12 foundations. Supporters gathered at the Omni Riverway for a gala, co-chaired by Melissa and Mano DeAyala.
