School nurse Gemma Asteriou (pictured, wearing her green cape), recently won Roadrunner of the Month at Briargrove Elementary. She received a bag of goodies from the PTO as well as the right to wear the coveted green superhero cape all month long. Nurse Gemma has been at Briargrove Elementary since 2012 and also works at St. Luke’s emergency clinic. She is active at Second Baptist Church, where she volunteers as a member of the on call-medical team.
