Diana Starr Dalton wed José Eduardo Moreiras on Dec. 5 at Chapelwood United Methodist Church followed by a reception hosted by the bride’s parents, Connie and Cal Dalton, at Houston Country Club. Dr. John Stephens gave the homily as family and friends watched them say “I do.” David Dalton, the brother of the bride, was the soloist. The couple had their favorite Bible verse written in blue on the inside of their shoes. The reception was a gold, silver and red winter wonderland. Bridesmaids Courtney Miller, Kristin Nordstrom, Jaclyn Rusk (matron of honor), Stephanie Hill (maid of honor), Natalie McClure, Alexandra Brown and Hanna Tacha were adorned in gold sequins, and groomsmen Allen Vo, Fernando Luna, Abe Franco, Eleazar Palomo, José Moreiras, Gray Jodon and David Dalton all wore black tails. Giant snowflakes were suspended from the ceiling of the ballroom over the guests as they danced the night away. As a nod to the couple’s careers in the oil business, the couple chose a multi-layered carrot cake and strawberry cake with an oil derrick on top with chocolate "oil" running down the sides. Santa also came to celebrate at a Christmas-themed photo booth. The bride wore her grandmother's mink stole and her great-grandmother's mink muff (something old) for their exit. They were passed down to her great-aunt, Jean DeBoer, and then to her godmother, Gayla Hartsough of Los Angeles, both present at the wedding. The couple departed in an Aston Martin convertible, on loan from Ed and Leticia Jaroski. The couple will honeymoon in Key Largo and also spend some time in Paris for work.
