Jason ShwartzEditor’s Note: Fourth grader Jason Shwartz was spotted by The Buzz team at Saltillo Mexican Kitchen and stood out for his mature food choices. He calls himself a “foodie” and this is the first of his “Buzz Bites Jr.” blog, which will include his restaurant experiences. The opinions in these posts are purely his own and his family paid for his meal.

Recently, I had the chance to eat at Saltillo Mexican Kitchen. The scenery was dark and very relaxing. I really enjoyed it. Our waiter was Deny and he was very nice. He answered all of my questions. The tough thing about me is I like specific things and they did it perfectly. I started out with an appetizer of a wedge of iceberg lettuce. They sent the order to the kitchen and it came out awesome, in just a few minutes, which was a plus. The salad also came with homemade chips, not like the ones that came out of the bag. It came with four different sauces and all of them were spicy to me. Our dishes came with grilled veggies and potatoes. I didn't try them but my parents loved it.

I ordered center cut beef tenderloin cooked medium and it was unbelievable. My parents ordered grilled lamb and chicken mole. They thought it was great. Saltillo has great food but if you take your kids they have to know manners.
