Sam and Patty Bowen posed in front of the Those Texans cook-off tent at this year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest - the exact same spot they met five years ago. They are married now and both volunteers on the Mutton Bustin’ committee. Cook-off team winners of the coveted 2016 overall grand champion was awarded to the Bulldog Mountain Cookin’ Crew 2; first runner up went to Washington County Go Texan and second runner up went to Xtreme Texas Cookers 4.
