Lola Casada

Lola and her mom, Randi Casada, were thrilled that Lola won “Most Topical.”

Owen Michalek

There’s a new Sheriff in town and his name is Owen. Owen’s mom, Lori Michalek, loved seeing him on the red carpet and was thrilled that he won “Cutest” in the contest.

Costumed dogs paraded down the red carpet last Saturday at Tanglewood Park in celebration of the Academy Awards. Approximately 75 people cheered on the pups and enjoyed music, raffles and refreshments. Judges included Bobby Clark and Cory Peek from Houston Fire Department Station #2 and Tanglewood resident Dean Porter.

Event chairs Kathy Kennedy and Alison Frey were pleased that the weather was so beautiful on Saturday, making a very happy Howl-y-wood kind of day.
