Teach them early
Bellaire Young Mothers hosted a St. Jude's Trike-A-Thon event at Colonial Park. The event taught young children bike safety rules (such as ride with a helmet, don't ride in the street, watch where you are going, be careful in driveways) and then ended with a short bike ride around the park. Police Officer Katie Wilson (pictured) came to meet the children and hand out their bike licenses. Through the event, the group raised $400 directly for St. Jude's. Pictured are (from left) are Corrine Prevatt, Miyah Dessap (receiving bike license), Daniella Hughes, Babette Hughes and Addison Gubitz (in the background).
