Horn Elementary’s kindergarten through second grade “Name that Book” Team competed in the annual HISD reading competition at M.C. Williams Middle School. The team came in second place. Teacher sponsors were Horn’s Librarian, Sherry Batke and second grade teacher, Trudy Jackson. The third through fifth grade team also competed at M.C. Williams Middle School. Their team came in second place in the preliminary round. Both teams had to read 30 books on a given list and be able to answer questions about the books.
