Evelyn’s Park Conservancy has announced Denton Ragland as Executive Director of their nonprofit to manage the development of Evelyn’s Park, which is currently scheduled to open by the end of 2016. (See construction updates here.)

Denton, a seasoned nonprofit executive with a long career dedicated to community-based organizations, officially joined the team in April. He’s served in leadership positions in organizations such as The Houston Food Bank, The United Way of Greater Houston and Neighborhood Centers Inc.

In his free time, Denton is a volunteer private pilot and flies cancer patients on mercy health missions in and out of the Medical Center. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and kids Blake, Drew and Chelsea at his family ranch outside of Austin.
