Planning a prom

Alexander-Smith Academy does not have a senior prom, so senior (and School Buzz photo editor) Katie Boyd, along with her mom Sarah Boyd and fellow senior Madison Baty and her mom, Kathy Baty, threw a fancy ball-themed prom at a Memorial home. They made “save the date” cards, which included the themes people could vote on, and two different dates to hold the prom. The prom was a success, and everyone danced and celebrated all night. Attendees included Denielle Braxton, Katy Boyd, Madison Baty, George Rodriguez, Logan Duke, Katie Saltiel, Zoey Zhang, Shannon Nguyen and Lu Ye.
