Pool time

Horn Elementary students Sam Efron, Jase Schmalz, Jack Waligura and James Kimzey (pictured, from left) cooled off by the pool. Grace Phillips, Horn’s physical-education teacher, organized a field day for the students at the Bellaire Recreation Center, which was followed by a day at the pool at the Bellaire Family Aquatic Center. At the field day, students raced each other over hurdles, pushed oversized balls, rolled hula hoops and basketballs, and scootered across the gym floor. Fifth graders pulled their hardest as they competed against another class in tug-of-war.
