The Pershing Girls Lacrosse Young Guns team (pictured) finished the season with a first-place win in the Greater Houston Girls Youth Lacrosse Association (GHGYLA) end-of-season tournament. The third- and fourth-grade girls, who attend Horn, Roberts, Kolter and Twain elementary schools, competed at Gosling Sports Park in The Woodlands and won four of the five games. Their regular season was equally as impressive, with a 7-1 record. The tournament champs are (top row) coach Mike Hall; (middle row, from left) Emery Rose, Lorelai Hawkins, Reese Pierson, Rayah Johnson, Amelie Munoz and Amelia Foley; (bottom row, from left) Reagan Brown, Phoebe Thompson, Lauren Wasaff and Amelia Hall. Not pictured are Porter Rhoades, Peyton Coleman, Caroline Anthony and coach Melissa Garcia.
