Jennifer Roosth and Melanie Gray were independently in Washington D.C. for the first United State of Women White House Summit. Jennifer represented the Ellevate network as Houston-chapter president, and Melanie represented Girls Inc. The summit focused on gender-equality issues. Among the great choices of speakers to hear were Oprah, Gloria Steinem, Patricia Arquette, Kerry Washington, Amy Poehler and Wendy Davis. “You can have it all. You just can’t have it at once,” says Oprah Winfrey.
