Jonna Seline, Brian Seline

Pink or Blue: Jonna and Brian Seline at their gender-reveal party.

Jonna Seline expected that her first baby would be a boy, and her husband Brian thought it would be a girl. Why wait until the baby is born? A gender-reveal party was held on Father’s Day weekend, when everyone was together with the soon-to-be first-time dad, grandfathers and future great-grandfathers in the backyard of Brian’s parents, Gary and Dorothy Seline. As guests arrived, they chose a pink or blue lei and wrote their names on a chalkboard under boy or girl. The overwhelming choice was girl. The couple dressed in pink and blue, opened a decorated box, and helium-filled pink balloons rose to the occasion. The baby girl is due Dec. 15. Also thrilled pink were Jonna’s parents, Ann and Scott Huneryager, and grandparents, Anita and Morton Seline and Fern and Steve Roos.
