Community effort
It was a colorful day for the Pin Oak Middle School Charger community on Oct. 11. The school held its inaugural “Charge into the Color” fun run. The event was the official kick-off to fundraising efforts toward building a new, a half-mile, $80,000 fitness track. Students, faculty and volunteers had a blast throwing color powder, running and cheering on students. The celebration continued with a post-race party featuring music, Kona Ice snacks and more color-throwing fun. Pictured (from left) Nicole Hampton, Erin Lang and Natalie Hampton.
