American-style holiday in London
Amy and Brad Richards

Amy and Brad Richards celebrate Thanksgiving in London, where they now live.

Brad and Amy Richards didn’t expect any Thanksgiving when they moved to London officially. Brad, who is administrative partner for Haynes and Boone CGD, worked on Thanksgiving, but in the morning they sang in the American International Church’s Thanksgiving service held at the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral. The American ambassador, Matthew Barzun, spoke about building bridges and not walls, and everyone sang America the Beautiful. Then off they went to lunch at a Thai restaurant. It wasn’t exactly what they expected to do. Amy says that, along with missing the turkey, she also misses Cream of Wheat and tortilla chips.
