Historic Evening

Volunteers joined Rabbi Yossi Zaklikofsky of The Shul of Bellaire (on left, with his son Mendel) and event co-chairs Steve and Rhoda Saka (on right) to prepare invitations for Historic Evening.

Volunteers gathered at the Bellaire home of Rhoda and Steve Saka this past weekend to prepare invitations for the upcoming "An Historic Evening With Anne Frank's Sister" event, which takes place Feb. 15 at the Wortham Center.

Eva Schloss, stepsister of Anne Frank, will share the courageous story of how she hid for two years before being captured and her story of surviving Auschwitz-Birkenau. She will provide a firsthand account of Anne Frank, her childhood friend and stepsister.

The evening will honor Marshall and Doreen Lerner with a Lamplighter Award as well as Alex and Victoria Lazar with the Parents of the Year Award. Rhoda and Steve Saka are co-chairs of the Historic Evening event and Schloss is hosted by the Shul of Bellaire.

Tickets are available online through The Wortham Center or from the box office at 832-487-7041.
