Students at Beth Yeshurun Day School celebrated their love of writing at the school’s 19th annual Young Authors’ Celebration. The event was coordinated by school librarian Monica Woolf and underwritten by Dr. Bob and Judy Komorn in memory of their daughter, Deborah Komorn Baruch. Each year, students are visited by children’s book authors from across the country. This year, former Texans player Wade Smith (pictured, with students Byron Strug and Emmy Brounes) visited the campus to share his new children’s book, Smitty Hits the Play Books.
