Students from River Oaks Elementary School raised more than $37,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the Pennies for Patients campaign. They rallied around young leukemia survivor Corinne Miller (pictured). Corinne’s mom, Jennifer Manby, is close friends with Liz Goodman, ROE school counselor and Pennies for Patients coordinator. Everyone was pumped up that their efforts earned ROE the titles of Top Raising School for the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter and Top Raising Texas Elementary School in History.
