More than 200 gathered at River Oaks Country Club for the Connect the Docs dinner for the TIRR Foundation (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research) and Mission Connect (which conducts brain and spinal-cord injury research). Emcee David Nuño greeted guests amid balloons and confetti to celebrate the TIRR Foundation’s 20 years as a non-profit for people recovering from injury. Scientists who benefit from Connect the Docs mixed with guests eager to learn more. Keynote speaker Tatyana McFadden shared the principles by which she lives and that have made her the world’s most awarded Paralympian. The honorary chairs, Dr. Guy Clifton, Dr. Robert Grossman, and Claire Hulsebosch, Ph.D., were founding members of Mission Connect.
