Peanut, age 2

My name is Peanut, but you could also call me PP. The generous folks from Dachshund Rescue of Houston arranged my adoption last year, and I am so happy to have been a part of the West University community ever since. I love going on short walks to sniff the neighborhood, and I never let the weather get in the way. My beautiful coat and cute outfit attract kids as well as adults. If they start to pet me, I often lie down and beg for belly rubs regardless of location. If you hear me bark and wag my tail, it’s only because I am very excited to sniff or play with you. I am still a bit shy at the dog park, so please be patient if I take my time to trundle along or dip in the pool with my canine buddies.
