BHS students lend a hand
Bellaire High School's League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Youth Council (pictured) is a Hispanic civil rights organization committed to serving the community. After Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, LULAC members volunteered at flooded homes in the Bellaire/Meyerland area to help residents remove flooring and drywall, pack away furniture, and clean up any remaining debris. The students cleaned nearly 15 homes within only a short time and will continue to volunteer throughout the school year.
