Opa! Spotted at The Original Greek Festival

Cooking volunteers Sean Shannahan, Benny Ringer, Rocky Stevens and Kevin Cokinos. This is Sean's second year to volunteer and Benny's 30th year of volunteering (he said Sean is catching on quickly!). Rocky has been involved since he married a Greek five years ago and Kevin Cokinos has also been volunteering for 30 years. (Photo: Dylan Aguilar)
We spotted many Buzz residents enjoying an authentic Greek lunch today. At The Original Greek Festival, delicious, freshly prepared dishes were served to guests who stopped by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral on their lunch hour. Greek sausage on a stick, gyros and souvlaki plates were among the popular options. Food and drinks aren’t the only thing on the menu: Dance performances, children's activities and live music are a big part of the festivities this weekend.
The festival kicked off Thursday evening and continues all weekend. Tonight, the festival will reopen at 5 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. On Saturday, the festival will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and on Sunday, 12-6 p.m.
Don't miss the Children’s Dance Program (Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.) and there will be an Adult Dance Program performed every hour each evening (Friday beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. and Sunday beginning at 4 p.m.). See more details here.
