Craig and Beth Lieberman chased the eclipse across Missouri. They first went to a winery in Kansas City to spot the sun-moon alignment, but after a few sips of wine at 9 a.m., decided the clouds were in the way and wound up driving to St. Joseph, Missouri, where they found a real axis to grind. More clouds. However, they saw enough bright openings to see the miracle they sought.
