In 2009, Westbury Baptist Church decided to try something new. Pictured (from left) are Charla Stuart, Anwar Keith, Justin, Hannah Callison and Mackenzie Simmons. Members canceled the usual worship services on the second Sunday of October. Instead, they started to gather on the streets of Houston to serve people in need. Every year since, on the second Sunday of October, they have continued to faithfully show up to serve their community. This year, the task at hand became helping victims of Hurricane Harvey. They continue to put their faith into action.
