More than 600 guests, along with co-chairs Denise Monteleone and Michael and Ellie Francisco, joined together at MD Anderson’s A Conversation With a Living Legend event at the Hilton Americas downtown. Honorary co-chairs were Patsy Fourticq, Barbara and Charles Hurwitz, Kelli Kickerillo and Todd Forester, Joan Schnitzer Levy and Cyvia Wolff. NBC News correspondent Janet Shamlian led a conversation with Rich Kinder, executive chair of Kinder Morgan, during the dinner and reception. A total of $1.3 million was raised, the largest total to date for the event. Since 2007, the event has raised more than $5.9 million for vital cancer research at MD Anderson.
