Children’s Museum flashes back
Owen and Sofia Massey (pictured) held their Hurricane Harvey rescue dog after submitting the final winning bid. They won the pup in an auction at The Children’s Museum of Houston gala, Miami Vice. The night was an ’80s throwback, raising more than $975,000 at The Corinthian. Event co-chairs were Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia and Molly and Matthew LaFauci. The event was underwritten by BB&T and Phillips 66. More than 500 guests, many sporting white suits, Ray-Bans and kinetic colors, danced the night away to the sounds of Empire 6 presented by J&D Entertainment. The museum, in collaboration with the Houston Food Bank, donated part of its proceeds to families affected by Hurricane Harvey.
