Church hopping in Toledo was part of Silvia and Ernest Max’s three-week journey through Spain. After a visit to the Alhambra and more in Granada, and a drive to the Costa del Sol and Sevilla, they saw three great museums in Madrid, a highlight in addition to the full moon another night. Since the main streets were closed to traffic, they walked among the lit-up gardens, fountains and art installations as music filtered through the air. Although Ernest and Silvia are fluent in Spanish, they heard English spoken everywhere and saw bilingual signs in the museums, freeways, menus and stores. Hasta la vista.
